I found my very first subscriber

so it begins...

His name is Paul, and we met just six days ago.

As we strolled around Austin’s Lady Bird Lake on a particularly lovely Friday, Paul mentioned that he’s been enjoying the process of writing on Substack for several years.

So I noodled on it a bit, wondering if I’ve waited too long.

Earlier today, I received a text from Paul: “Getting into Substack?”

Suddenly I realized I’ve been dragging my feet.

In desperate need of a creative outlet outside of traditional social media, I’m quite enchanted by the idea of writing for the sake of writing again.

And as more and more writer/artist/musician friends hop on here, I figure I might as well take the plunge. Enough dawdling already.
